Laughter


Laughter really is the best medicine. When you can make light of a situation and see the funny side, you have an excellent tool for having a Positive Attitude.

It’s a wonderful feeling when you are interacting with others and you are all laughing your heads off at a joke, a situation, a comedian or something that happened spontaneously. You can feel yourself relax, your shoulders going up and down, sometimes you’re rocking, mouth wide open chuckling, it even sounds funny describing it.

Yes laughing is the ultimate healer and like music should be put on prescription. When you laugh and feel good, the hormones endorphins and serotonin are released into the blood stream that positively affect the cells in your body, so laughter is actually making you healthier.

I’ve met a couple of friends in the last few years, where they almost don’t have to open their mouths and I’m in fits of laughter, they are so naturally funny, and I know if I spend time with them I’m going to have an amazingly funny time. Humour is a great gift to have.

I’m very lucky in that I have a good circle of friends, who are all that friends should be, and we have lots of fun and laughter.

So today, see the funny side of things, allow laughter and fun to be a priority in your life. Seek out funny films and TV programmes, mix with fun people who you know you’re going to have a laugh with, or just in everyday situations see the lighter more humourus side to things.

As the saying goes and it’s true –
Laugh and the world laughs with you. Be light about your life, cultivate a sense of the ridiculous. Seek out fun and laughter and you will find it wherever you go.

Have a fun filled, laugh till you cry Saturday.
