Communication versus Connection

Hi friends

Communication versus Connection

It’s easy to communicate in this day and age, with the internet, emails, texting, Facebook, Twitter, Skype, telephone.

Communication is merely an exchange of information, and for the most part it works out really well, but have we lost the art of truly connecting with another human being on a one to one basis.

Everybody is different, be it our personality, age, gender, beliefs, but we have one thing in common and that’s our emotions, and when we share emotions such as:-

It’s then that true connection takes place.

When you think of someone from the past who has had a profound affect on you, it’s never about how much they earn, what sort of house they live in, or their sense of style,, it’s always about the way they made you feel.

It’s your responsibility to connect fully with others and there are various ways we can do this:-

Eye contact
Asking questions
Asking opinions
Big smile
Gentle touch of the shoulder or hand
Hand sandwich when you shake hands
Genuine praise and compliments
Remember names

When we interact with others we are often not fully present, as we ask a question we have our own opinion lined up. We don’t listen properly, we are always thinking about what we are going to say next. Put the pause button on your own life and issues and listen properly.

True connection is an exchange of humanity, an exchange of the soul, it’s the sharing of emotion, it’s the feeling that you care.

Everywhere I go people are on their mobile phones not being in the now, put them down come back to the real world, connect with others fully 100%, and know that we are really all one and joined in making this world a better place.

Have a great day

Love Loraine
