The Wonder of Travel
I don’t know about you, but whenever I fly I’m just taken aback by the sheer ginormous task it takes to get a plane off the ground.
I’ve taken off and landed 8 times in the last month, and each time I feel extreme appreciation for the fact that we live in an age of being able to travel so easily around the globe.
The Wright Brothers first discovered aerodynamics at the beginning of the 19th century and look how far we have come since then.
Our plane from Sydney Australia to China was so huge and long, again I thought the same thoughts I always think “how the hell they gonna get that in the sky” but as always it happened with ease.
The flight from China to UK was very smooth, I had a window seat, and sat over the wing and engine, as I looked out of the window it looked like we were barely moving, the huge part of the aircraft set against the clouds was an awesome sight. We were in fact travelling at a speed of 550mph.
It’s the same with the cruise ship I travelled on around the Fiji Islands. The huge vessel staying afloat crashing through the sea over the unrelenting waves, it’s technology at it’s best.
Travel enhances our life experience, and I always feel and will continue to feel extremely grateful to trains and boats and planes for getting us safely from A to B.
Have a great day
Lots of love
