My name is Loraine Denison and my own journey to a positive attitude goes back to 2001 when I split up from my husband and was bringing up three children on my own. For two years I was in the depths of despair, but gradually as time passed I wanted to help myself and lead a happier more positive life
This is where my passion for personal development, growth and self help began, and as my close friends and family know, I live, breathe, and practice it daily. But why keep all this knowledge to myself I thought; why not share it, and let others benefit too, so Living With A Positive Attitude was born as a page on facebook on 5th January 2014.
I have read many books, done online courses. My best friend (and partner in crime) Kathy and I, have attended many seminars, downloaded meditations, and much more. I actively seek inspiring and uplifting stories that have a moral that we can learn from.
I do this by going on adventures, cycling and trekking around the world, also from every-day incidents that occur. I do read a lot of books from my favourite teachers too, and sometimes just a word can inspire me to write. I’m now in the habit of waking at 3-4 am to write my blog as that’s when I feel at my most inspirational and people can read it when they wake up, so they can start their day with a Positive Attitude.
It is a cliche, but seeing your cup half full rather than half empty is having a positive attitude. If your thoughts are mainly good and positive and are focused on what you want rather than on what you don’t want, you have a positive attitude, but if you are like most people you have this constant mental chatter going on in your head and it’s mainly worrying, criticizing, fear, regret disappointment and more, be assured that it’s mainly habit and conditioning from a young age, and with time and commitment you can change to a Positive Attitude.
My posts will be simple and easy to understand. We can discuss experiences we have have had, short easy exercises, I will recommend books, meditations (a lot are free) online courses etc;
there will be a daily topic.
So if you want to join me on this wonderful exciting journey of self discovery, hop on board and we will enjoy the ride together, as I’m sure I will learn as much from you, as you do from me.
